1. From the homepage, search for the relevant client.
2. From the client's dashboard select the relevant individually-held account.
3. Click on the 'Money out’ button at the top of the screen and select either 'Add regular withdrawals' or 'Add single withdrawal'.
4. Follow the relevant route below for either regular withdrawals or a single withdrawal (up to £75,000).
For regular withdrawals:
- Complete the questions relating to the advice that's been given.
- Enter the withdrawal amount as a monetary amount or a percentage of the client's holdings.
- Select the withdrawal frequency and start date.
- Select an escalation rate, if you would like the withdrawal amount to increase annually. The increase is calculated on the anniversary date of the regular withdrawal.
- Confirm the client's nominated bank account and add a reference if required, which will appear on your client's bank statements.
For a single withdrawal:
- On the 'Single withdrawal' screen, the estimated available value of the client’s investment will be shown.
- Select the withdrawal type (whether you’d like to fund the withdrawal solely from cash or a combination of cash and assets).
- Enter the withdrawal amount. If you want to close the account, choose the 'Withdraw All' option. This will close the client's account.
- If there are trades in progress, the 'withdraw all' option will not appear. To see if there are trades in progress, you can select the 'Transactions Tab' on the client account and click on the 'Trades' in progress icon.
- For full closures, please note that any pending fees/charges still to be deducted will show and may result in a different value showing on the amount available.
- Confirm the client's nominated bank account and add a reference if required, which will appear on your client's bank statements.
5. The next screen allows you to select which assets you'd like the withdrawal(s) to come from, if applicable. You can take the withdrawals either proportionally across all assets or from specified assets.
- If you're taking the withdrawal from specified assets, enter the amounts to withdraw from each asset (this can be either a percentage or monetary amount and you can switch between the two by using the 'toggle' button above the table of assets).
- Estimated withdrawal figures will be generated below each selected asset.
6. The next screen allows you to review the information you have entered.
- Use the 'Edit' options to make any amendments.
- Review the information, tick the declaration and click 'Confirm'.
- A green banner will appear at top of screen confirming that the withdrawal request has been submitted.
You can view the progress of the instruction within the 'Activities' tab from the client’s account dashboard.
