What Tax code will be applied to my client’s pension income?

The tax code we will use for your client’s pension income will be the current tax code that we hold on file. This will be visible on your client’s most recent payslip.

If we do not hold a tax code on file, or it is the first time your client is taking income, then the emergency tax code will be used. HMRC will then update us with your client’s tax code for any future payments.
